The US Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) recently released The Carbon Capture, Transport, and Storage Supply Chain Deep Dive Assessment, which found that Carbon Capture and storage “poses no significant supply chain risk and will support the U.S. Government in achieving its net-zero goals.”
The report also illustrates opportunities and long-term use applications of CCS technologies, predicts that the technology will help create between 390,000 and 1.8 million “good-paying union jobs,” and includes policy recommendations on incentives for the advancement of the CCS industry to ensure adequate infrastructure is in place to support the nation’s energy transition.
